The Back Porch podcast!

Owners, GMs, management, and teams in general  may not be allowed to talk to this summer's free agent until July 1, but that doesn't mean they can't talk to each other. Reportedly Miami's future free agent Dwyane Wade is doing just that and is all but 100% convinced that he, LeBron, and Chris Bosh will all have a few conversations before they made their much anticipated off season moves.

Will the most coveted stars in the league decide to all take pay cuts and create a mega team or go their own ways in order to cash larger pay checks? Well, that is a little unclear, but what is clear is that Wade is not going to advise any of those guys to roll to Chi-town.

Dwyane had no problem calling out his hometown Bulls for their lack of break up skills and he has a very valid argument. He points out that while other teams tend to keep their stars around, Chicago doesn't have a great track record of keeping guys around after their time together is up. Instead Chicago comes off looking more like that girl that can't handle the post break up friendship. Yeah you try and stay casual, have ability to say hi in public, but all she wants to do is keep bringing up the time you blew off her sister recital to wait in line for The Hangover to come out on Blue Ray. Kind of takes that occasional cup of coffee at Starbucks out of the question.

Teams like Boston and L.A., they seem to be able to pull off the "just friends" transition. You see Russel and Cousy at the Celtics games, meanwhile Kareem and West have always had a decent relationship with the Lakers, but where did Jordan go when he wanted to make his return to the game? Washington. What team does he have stock in now? Charlotte. Yeah there is a statue of him in Chicago, but doesn't exactly seem like the two are on speaking terms.

How do you blow a $60 million contract? Allow Eddy Curry to show you via this article on Fanhouse.com!

As you read, take special note to the $6,000 a month chief and $1,000 a month cable/satellite bill. Now I've seen Eddy, he's made the most of the chief, but who needs both cable and satellite? And $1,000 bucks?! What the heck were you watching Eddy? I mean Avatar was good, but did you have to watch it 400 times in April?

Now granted Eddy has a lot of free time on his hands, only playing in 10 games over the last two seasons, but still. Mix in a book, a treadmill, a trip to the zoo. Cut back the package too man, you know you ain't watching the Home and Garden 3 channel, the Big-10 volleyball access channel, or that one channel that just shows cattle auctions all day anyway.

I can see Bosh, Wade, and Lebron goin' Celtics on it and heading to the Knicks and turning that franchise around in one fell swoop. Not sure if the contracts would match up but it would be fun to dream.
