If we pat Floyd Landis on the head, will he just smile and go away? Apparently Floyd needs some attention so bad that he's willing to take the Jose Canseco route of throwing former teammates under the bus to get some press.

Floyd came out today, finally admitting to his long denied use of PEDs and then proceeded to say, "but but but he did it too!" in regards to Lance Armstong a other folks involved in the sport.

Now let's be honest about this whole situation for a second. Floyd has long had high hopes of becoming the next Lance Armstrong. You can just see it in his eyes, he wants to be the next American hero, he wants to be marketed to the world, and he wants to be able to take Sheryl Crow to the movies. None of which Floyd is or was ever going to to do or be. He's known as a fraud, isn't going to sell a darn thing, and I'm pretty sure, Sheryl isn't interested in seeing Iron Man 2 with him.

Come on Floyd, your name is Floyd and you look like a more closely resemble a Keebler Elf than a pro athlete. I mean what can you see with a skinny white mustached sporting guy named Floyd? Fishing rods? Fat chance with him wearing all that spandex. Unless you're a WWE superstar, Floyd+mustache+spandex does not equal a quality pitch man for Bass Pro Shops.

My point? This guy has failed at his sport, failed at becoming the next icon, and now is reaching for his last chance of creating a just a semi non-awful public image in playing the role of whistler blower. Yeah, not quite Floyd. You're going to always be Floyd the cheater to most of us, only now you'll probably be Floyd the cheater who tried to kill Lance as well. Although I will say those ELFin cookies are delicious.
