Tebow's Bible Briefs, the last LeBron fan in Cleveland, and The Back Porch podcast!
Thoughts on T.O. and Chad, Training Camps, and more. The Back Porch Podcast for July 29th!

Thought #1

Tim Tebow is all set to be the new spokesman of Jockey. That's right the "Milehigh Messiah" will be the face of Jockey's new Staycool line, because obviously there is no one cooler than Timmy.

My co-host on The Nosebleeds, Ryan Sayler, posed an interesting question on this topic; will Timmy sport the scripture eye-black in the photo shoot?

It's a good question, but I'm thinking instead Jockey may just opt to feature the Bible verse right on the underwear. Now it might sound a little crazy at first, but this could be very useful when it comes to helping some of the guys in the league make decent decisions. Imagine if Ben Roethlisberger had been rocking Timmy's inspired line of boxer briefs. Maybe he sees a little verse about purity and suddenly decides being in the dirty bathroom stall of a college bar with a random chick isn't such a good idea after all. It could be like a last line of defense for a guy like Ben.

Now I'm not saying it would work all the time, but anytime that it did would be a positive. I hope every player gets a pair of Timmy's Bible briefs.

Thought #2

Reportedly a fan had to be removed from a Cleveland Indians game for his own safety after showing up the game wearing a Miami Heat LeBron jersey. Hundreds of fans taunted and yelled obscenities at the fan before he was removed.

Now I'm not saying that yelling obscenities at someone is ever the right thing to do, but dude had it coming. This is like when the little smart alec kid at school finally gets beat up by the dork he's been taunting. Ever notice how slow the teachers are to rush to that one? Yeah, it's no coincidence that was the day they decided to all obey the no running in the halls rule and became very cautious of the slightly slippery floor.

Yeah, if I'm security at that game, I'm walking that guy out, but we're walking out the long way. Nice and slow, careful not to slip, and might even take a few breaks just so no body gets winded.

Cheila - I not being a smart "aZZ" that was all in seriousness, I really think it could be the last line of defense for some of these awful decisions.
