Kentucky and VCU keep things interesting and more Tourney Quick Shots
Quick shots from Friday
- Pretty sure the game time Marquette-UNC and Kansas-Richmond read Beer-run-thirty. If you needed to run a last-minute errand, grab a bite to eat, or catch up on the latest Captain America trailer - looks sick by the way - this was a pretty good time with Jayhawks housing the Spiders, 77-57, and the Tar Heels having no trouble with the Golden Eagles, 81-63.

 - It's probably a good thing Ohio State's Jared Sullinger got a tournament's worth of post-play celebration growls in last night as the Buckeyes head back home after the Wildcats beat them 62-60.

 - When you score > How much you score. Fact. Kentucky's Brandon Knight proved that as his jumper with 5.4 seconds remaining gave the Cats the final advantage. Of course that's just how Brandon rolls. He went scoreless against Princeton before hitting the game-winning shot. So far in the tourney, Kentucky has been the benefactor of Brandon's goldfish-length memory when it comes to shooting. Not a bad spot to be in.

 - VCU's inbounds play to get Bradford Burgress a wide open layup with 7.1 seconds was reminiscent of every rec league in the country that has about eight teams but only one coach who doesn't show up to games in boots and a flannel. Shaka Smart drew it up, the Rams ran it to perfection, and the Seminoles looked stunned.

 - The Seminoles did have a last second shot, but apparently they are really confused by that red light on the backboard. Guys that is not the "Shoot It" light, you have to get it off before that. Sure Derwin Kitchen's shot was thrown by Rob Brandenberg, but chances are the best thing it could have produced for the Noles would have been three minutes of everyone watching the refs watch a video just before breaking their hearts.

 - VCU is playing with house money right now and is loving it. Kansas beware, they are blazing a trail through the big conferences and don't have a Big-12 victim yet.

Thoughts for Saturday
 - Just looking at them you'd think Butler had not shot at taking out Florida. They are bigger, stronger, and faster. But go ahead and replay Gene Hackman's speech for the fellas one more time. The Bulldogs know who they are and who they are not and head coach Brad Stevens is a genius when it comes to getting the most out of who they hard. I like Butler to keep rolling, based on the mojo-factor alone.

 - Derrick Williams vs. Kemba Walker? Um, yes please! This is a game with NBA-style star power on the college level. They key however won't be the two stars matching up though as much as it will be Williams matching up with UConn's Alex Oriakhi, both averaging 10.7 boards per game. Regardless at the end of the day, both Derrick and Kemba will strap their team-carrying backpacks on and go to work and I like Kemba to come out on top.

I have been surfing on-line more than three hours as of late, yet I never found any fascinating article like yours
I’ve desired to write something similar to this on my webpage and this has given me a concept. Cheers.
